Legacy offers 12-week paid internships to highly qualified college students who are excited about and interested in a career in heavy civil construction. Most interns are placed on a project and do the real work of a field engineer. They are supervised and mentored by an engineer with two to seven years of experience and gain real-world experience in construction. This isn’t shadowing or making copies. This is learning and experiencing what it is like to be a full-time engineer or safety manager at Legacy.
For graduating seniors who have not interned with us before, we will initially offer a 12-week internship, with potential for full-time employment.
We visit numerous college campuses every year. We are also a sponsor for the Associated Schools of Construction competition for regions six and seven, held annually in Sparks, Nevada. The specific campuses visited can vary based on regional needs, although we do recruit for interns and graduating seniors every fall and spring.
We are looking for students studying civil engineering, geotechnical engineering and environmental or occupational health and safety. Find us on campus and let’s talk!
